We have now published a detailed description of how Material Point Method, Generalized Material Point Method and Granular Material Point Method work in Uintah. The new paper by Koochi and co-authors focuses on the Granular Material Point Method – which implementation we fully reworked from our previous attempt, yet the paper is invaluable to anyone who wants to understand in-depth how the Material Point Method is implemented in Uintah software.
