GEOMEASURE

Geomeasure is a project awarded by Academy of Finland to me and Joonas Virtasalo from Geological Survey Finland. The project will investigate seabed deposits close to Finnish coasts, mainly to enable offshore wind power generation.

Geomeasure aim is to provide solutions allowing for precise establishing of seabed properties based on remote sensing and free fall CPT. To reach these goals Geomeasure cooperates with the University of Southampton, Durham University, as well as several companies, to provide the highest quality research ready for quick application in industrial problems.

Project staff include Zhongsen Li and Maarit Saaresma. We are also hiring a new postdoctoral researcher to be responsible for numerical modelling of free fall CPT test, see here.
